Classroom Management
Students of any age, but especially kindergarten, thrive in an environment where they know what is expected of them. For individual behaviors I use a color behavior system. At the beginning of each day all students start a new day on "green". I believe in positive reinforcement and praise. I will reward positive behavior as much as possible. Our classroom behavior system is set up as follows.
Green = Great Day! Followed all the rules
Yellow = Warnings given
Orange = In-class time away
Red= Parents notified, Out of class time out
Colors may also be determined by the severity of the behavior.
